Beneficial viruses: A review with special reference to Rajasthan

Abstract:

Despite Epidamic and Pandemic causing viruses beneficial viruses also Exist. Bacteria, Fungus, Plants and Animals have beneficial viruses. Polydna viruses are endoparasite in wasps. Endogenous retroviruses are also beneficial. Killer viruses in yeasts are also beneficial. Fungal viruses and plant viruses give thermal tolerance and drought tolerance to plants. Oncolytic viruses Adenoviridae, Herpesviridae, Pavoviridae, Reoviridae, Picornaviridae, Poxviridae are anticancer agents. Phage viruses are also beneficial as they eat Harmful Bacteria as Tectiviridae, Rudiviridae, Microviridae, Inoviridae are some examples of Phage viruses. Arc gene Virus: In our brain is important and essential for learning. GBV C (Hepatitis G Virus), slows down HIV Virus. Noro Virus is causative agent of diarrhea epidemic in Ships; some strains of V are very useful to normalize mice grown in microbe free environment. Ancient Retrovirus Endogenous retro V has helped to evolve placenta in Mammals. Endogenous RetroVirus (ERV) Due to ERV mutations in genetic code occurred so mamm can give live birth. Gamma Herpes Virus: Herpesviruses subfamily Gamma herpes virinae, Herpes simplex virus type I and type II cause genital herpes and cold sores and genital herpes . Gammaherpesvirus (MHV-68) Enhance resistance to infection with Listeria monocytogenes. (Food poisoning bacteria). Cowpox: Cowpox spread from cows to milkmans. Inoculation persons with cowpox sores material, eradicate smallpox. Adenovirus cause Pneumonia, Bronchilis, Croup cold, stomach infections (HADV S2 ) binds to carbohydrate of cancer cells ,used for cancer therapy.

Rashmi Sharma is Associate Professor Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan Government College, India. She has 28 years teaching and Research experience. She has published more than 30 papers in International journals. She has attended more than 70 International and national conferences. 8 students have completed MPhill under her guidance. 5 Students are doing PhD under her guidance. 2 completed under her guidance. 1 candidate Awarded PhD degree under guidance. She is author of 20 books.
